Two who closed their company to make a bigger difference.
Marcus Feldthus and Oscar Haumann have known each other since high school. In 2015 they started the consultancy Abel, where for nearly ten years they helped startups and SMEs with green ambitions.
In 2024 they closed Abel. Not because it was going badly — but because they wanted to work on something with a bigger effect.
That became House of Small: an innovation house and publishing house exploring how businesses can contribute to the green transition by becoming better at being small — not by becoming bigger.
We stand on the shoulders of (small) giants: David Fleming, E.F. Schumacher, Donella Meadows and Nassim Taleb — and businesses like Hiut Denim, Zingerman's, 37signals and Buurtzorg.
